Anderson Firefighter Transported To Local Hospital After Ceiling Collapsed In House Fire.

ANDERSON- On 02/10/2022 Around 9AM Anderson Fire Department was called to the 1300 block of East 10th ST for a working residential fire. Upon arrival flames and smoke could be seen coming from the garage. Anderson Fire was quickly able to get the fire under control but when firefighters entered the building one Firefighter was injured when the ceiling collapsed.

After speaking with Anderson Fire Chief we was informed that the Firefighter was transported to St, Vincent Hospital in Anderson with minor injury and is in stable condition.

We are unclear at this time as to the cause of the fire and will update this story in a few days when we have more info.
