(Anderson, IN. ) UPDATE- A total of Two were Injured from gunshot wounds on 4/13/23

NEW: A total of two people suffered Gunshot Wounds on 4/13/2023 (updated 4/18/2023)

On 04/13/2023 at 9:30 pm, the Anderson Police were notified by a local hospital of a male juvenile that had checked himself into the ER suffering from a gunshot wound. The initial information received by the victim was very vague. However, officers were directed to 2200 Sherman Street, where the alleged incident occurred. No physical evidence of a shooting was discovered at that time. The victim was recently released from the hospital, and the Criminal Investigations Division will follow up with the family later this week. The investigation remains ongoing.

Brief Summary: The Anderson Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 2400 block

of Pearl Street. As officers arrived in the area, they located a victim in an alley east of Pearl

Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers quickly secured the scene and

rendered aid. The victim was ultimately transported to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment,

where he remains in serious condition. The Criminal Investigations Division was called to the

scene and is in the process of collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses. No arrests

have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing. We will release more
