Bonita Building Blocks

It's The Golden Rule for Me!

First, I want to thank EVERYONE for all the great advice on Trusting the Process. I have been in a very chaotic place in my life for a few months now and the many uplifting words of encouragement and advice is greatly appreciated! It is great to know that so many people have so many positive thoughts about me! Sometimes when you tolerate too much, you begin to think that something is wrong with you but you guys have showed me I am exactly who I believe myself to be. I love and appreciate each and every one of you 😘. Thanks for helping me Trust the Process.

As I prepare to go to yet another court hearing, I continue to remind myself that I have to remain who I am and not react to how others treat me. When I was arrested a month ago, I just couldn't believe my situation. My friend, someone I love and care about throwing me in jail! I was distraught. So many people were angry and told me to get him out your house, take that car, that bus, that trailer, that truck, and anything else they thought belonged to me. Their advice was to hurt him like he hurting you!

Revenge and retaliation, not my cup of tea. An eye for an eye, I believe in but easier said than done. It's The Golden Rule for Me! I try to show people through my actions how they should treat others and how they should be treated. So now your thinking one of two things, either she in love or she too nice. I ain't in love, that's for sure! But I am nice and loving and I care way too much but thats all me! I can't change who I am but I can protect who I surround myself with. I know that my life will never be free from hurt. I've learned that I have to keep people away that will take advantage of my flaws and continue to treat people the way I want to be treated.

I may be too nice but I'm me. Part of getting through life is staying true to who you are regardless of the obstacles put in your way. Character is way more important than words, thoughts, or ideas. Character determines your actions and I try to make each and every one of my actions an example of my character.

As we continue to build, I would love to hear your advice on dealing with people and situations that take you out of your character. I continue to struggle with being the person I am while not letting people take advantage of the person I am. Listening to how you overcame your situation will help me build the blocks I need to make through mine!
