DEVELOPING: Indiana BMV Proposes Closure of Alexandria Branch—Public Input Requested

ALEXANDRIA—The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced recently that they will host a public hearing regarding the recent proposal to close the Alexandria Branch located at 2211 S. Park Ave., Suite 1, Alexandria. The hearing, in which BMV representatives will be present to take public comments, will be held at 6 P.M. EST on Tuesday-August 30th, 2022 at the Alexandria Community Center located at 315 S. Harrison St, Alexandria.
If you are unavailable to attend the public hearing but would still like your comments put on record with the Indiana BMV, you can email your comments to: BMVPublicHearing@bmv.in.gov; all written comments must be submitted no later than 11:59 P.M. EST on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022.
The Alexandria Branch, which is utilized by citizens from all over the county, has already reduced its hours and days to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 8:30a-5:00p. The closest branches to the City of Alexandria are:
