Joint Operation Leads To Arrest of Anderson Man for Dealing Methamphetamine


(Anderson, Indiana) A joint operation between the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section and the Madison County Drug Task Force lead to the arrest of an Anderson man for multiple felony charges.

On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Master Trooper Ryan Davis, Master Trooper Kyle West, and Master Trooper Andy Sparks of the Indiana State Police Pendleton District were given information about Demond James White, 49, of Anderson, Indiana. Troopers were told White was operating a 2005 gray Cadillac in the Anderson area and had multiple felony warrants for dealing methamphetamine. Troopers located the Cadillac at the intersection of Scatterfield Road and 9th Street in Anderson and conducted a high-risk traffic stop. White complied with the trooper's commands and was taken into custody without incident. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Demond James White, 49, 2006 E. 7th Street Apt. 4, Anderson, Indiana was arrested and preliminarily charged with:

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine, a level "2" Felony.

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine, a level "2" Felony.

  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance- Controlled Substance, a level "6" Felony.

  • Operating a vehicle with a suspended license (Prior), a class "A" misdemeanor.

White was taken to the Madison County Jail and held with no bond.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
