According to the autopsy the victim was stabbed multiple times resulting in death, this case is still under investigation

Anderson- On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, around 7:45PM, in the 2900 Block of E. 5th Street

The Anderson Police responded to a female being found deceased in her residence. The

victim, Andrea Aguirre (37) of Anderson, was located by her estranged husband while checking on her and their children’s welfare because she had not responded to his attempts to contact her. Aguirre was found on the floor in her bedroom with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The Children were both located unharmed and are now currently with family.

The Criminal Investigations Division and the Madison County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing at this time. Should anyone have information about this case, they may contact Detective Josh Senseney with the Anderson Police Department at 765.648.6757.
