Updates:
The system came into Anderson as light rain this afternoon but when the rain hit the ground, it started freezing. First responders worked many accidents across the state, and beyond. Weather statements were issued and although the temperature is going to warm up overnight, authorities warn that icy spots especially on bridges and overpasses are possible. (continued below)
