Pedestrian Struck- Lifeline Flew to Indy- Driver Went to Jail- Click the link to see this story

According to a press release, late Wednesday evening, the Anderson Police responded to a crash near the 53rd and S. Scatterfield Road intersection involving a 2019 Chevrolet Impala and a female pedestrian. As officers arrived on the scene, they located a female, later identified as Jennifer Abbott (45), lying in the roadway in critical condition. Officers rendered aid, and Ms. Abbott was transported to a local Anderson hospital and then later flown to Indianapolis due to the severity of her injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala that struck Ms. Abbott was identified and detained. Additionally, the APD Crash Team was called to the scene and secured a warrant for an OWI blood draw (results pending). The driver was ultimately transported to the Madison County Jail, and a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office. The case remains under investigation.
