Possible Winter Storm? and Wind Advisory




As the week is progressing there is much chatter on the weather websites and other spots as to a winter storm that may develop Thursday of this week. RIGHT NOW, most of the forecast models are showing Madison County as not being in the winter storm. It is currently more favorable to move north of us with the heaviest snow being from a Fort Wayne to Lafayette line and points to the north and just south of that line. Has the final decision been made on the exact track of this upcoming storm, short answer: NO.


In the meantime the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that does include Madison County. You can read the entire bulletin below:

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...All of central Indiana.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 7 PM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
  result.
