In an effort to help get more people tested and vaccinated the State Board of Health is having a Covid testing site and vaccination site today and tomorrow. Here is the information:

If you can't make this the Madison County Board of Health has daily testing available. They also offer vaccinations without an appointment. Whether you need your first shot, second shot, or a booster (3rd full dose for immunocompromised) they are open 830-1130 Monday-Saturday, lunch from 12 to 1, then open Tues, Wed, Fri from 1p-3p, Monday and Thursday afternoons from 1p to 5:30p. For testing, it is best to call and schedule to make sure that plenty of tests are available and that you qualify for testing. The Health Department is located at the corner of 9th and Central in Anderson. Come in the main door and go upstairs to the right for testing and vaccines are given downstairs and you can come in the main door or use the alley side door on the s/e corner of the building by the entrance to VA services. Handicap parking is available right outside the building on 9th street, regular parking on the street, or in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill by the old Workforce 1 bldg.
