Storm Hits Summitville-Was a Tornado- UPDATED STORY
UPDATE 6/9/2022
A SURVEY CONFIRMED A TORNADO ON THE GROUND FOR 0.57MI IN SUMMITVILLE There were 6 tornados yesterday 6/8/2022. Two of them were in Indiana, one in Summitville and the other was outside of Rushville. The other 4 tornados happened in Ohio. One of them hit a Meijer distribution center as seen in the picture below originally shared by a viewer.

Around 6:00 P.M. on 6/8/2022 Summitville had a storm come through that knocked trees down, tore off roofing, and knocked power lines down. The damage was close to the downtown area of Summitville. There were no injuries according to the Police Chief but cleanup will take several days. It is not confirmed if it was a tornado or straight-line winds at the time of this publication.
