Train crash leaves 1 person in serious condition.

on Thursday, October 21, 2021 around 3:24 PM the Anderson Police responded to a crash involving a train and a vehicle at the railroad crossing just south of the intersection at Mounds and Rangeline Road.

As officers arrived, they located a white sedan on the tracks just west of the crossing that had been

struck by the train. The driver of the vehicle was removed from the wreckage and

immediately transported to a local Anderson hospital in serious condition.

The Anderson Crash Team was called to the scene along with a representative from CSX. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
