Two People In Jail As Police Continue To Investigate Robbery Of Local Gas Station.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, about 10:35 PM The Anderson Police responded to an armed robbery at the Village Pantry near Madison Ave. and Cross Street. Preliminary investigations depict that a white male subject wearing a red hooded sweatshirt purchased a beverage then pointed a handgun at the store employee demanding money from the register.
The suspect then exited the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a vehicle. Shortly after the incident, the Anderson Police located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. All suspects were found in the vehicle and taken into custody. The Criminal Investigations Division was called in to assist, and the two suspects in custody gave statements of admission and were charged accordingly.
Detectives submitted Probable Cause Affidavits to the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office. The suspects were identified as Patrick Sweet (30) of Anderson and Terry Six (29) of Anderson.
